I have been thinking about how the campers will be presenting their projects at the end of each week and I have come up with a great project for them. The kids will be learning that the process is the most important part of photography. From making key decisions about how to make a photograph (as opposed to a snapshot), choosing the best photograph to represent their idea and thus which image to actually print, and how to display that image.
The entire artistic process is important so I wanted the kids to have a part in creating their own journals in which to put their images in. Keeping in mind that this will be something that must withstand a certain amount of abuse.
SO here are some images of what I thought would be good. Its a very simple project (a must) and its something that the kids can replicate on their own after camp is over (also a must)
They will use their own images for the front and back cover and the inside pages will be recycled paper from old notebooks etc...
We are going to be VERY busy!!!
