Slideshow for Erin and Ayron, March 27, 2010 , Middleburg Virginia

Erin and Ayron had a beautiful spring day in Middleburg Virginia as the setting for their wedding.  The ceremony was held at the Middleburg United Methodist Church in historic downtown Middleburg and the reception followed at the gorgeous Briar Patch Inn just up the road from the church.  A special thank you goes out to Jessica Riehl of Jessica Riehl Photography who drove from Chesapeake Virginia to shoot with me.  It was a pleasure to come back to the DC area for this special occasion!

Matt and Kim - Get Married!!!

Matt and Kim wed on a gorgeous Saturday afternoon in Alexandria, Virginia on June 13, 2009.  Thanks to Corbin Harris  of CMH Photo for being the second photographer on this one.

Reception Highlights

Long time no post! I have been very busy with studio work plus end-of-the-year stuff for my kids so I have not been posting as much as usual. I did put together this little slide show with reception highlights from a wedding that I did a few weeks ago. The largest percentage of images from the day are from the reception because that is the longest portion of the wedding day (usually). Often I will end up with several images per minute at the reception..and as you can see that can add up!! I often feel bad for the couples who then have to choose about 50 - 60 images from the entire day to go into their wedding album. So, I tried to narrow down the reception images to my very favorites and I was able to get it down to 30! Here they are!

{Bitter} Sweet Engagement Session

Emily and Scott are from Utah and Emily contacted me about 2 weeks ago asking if I could do and engagement session for she and her fiance' on the National Mall.  They were picking Scott up in South Carolina where he was in basic training and taking him to Aberdeen, MD for advanced training.  They will be separated for another 3 months and they have no idea whether he will be deployed immediately following his training .  So for now, the wedding date is not set.   I enjoyed taking them around the National Mall while we did our session..neither of them had ever been here before and I was happy to share what knowledge I had with them about the monuments.  Here are a few of my favorites from our morning.

 

Angie and Steffen - March 14, 2009

Angie and Steffan were married on March 14th at The Ritz Carlton in Tysons Corner Virginia.  Relatives traveled from as far as Germany to celebrate with the couple.  Here are a few highlights (see the slideshow below)  This was my first wedding of the season..the perfect beginning to a busy wedding season!

 

Juhi and Greg-Album Design

Juhi and Greg were married on July 27th at the Glenview Mansion in Rockville,Maryland. 2008.  I was not able to get a slideshow up for them because I left for our month long vacation shortly after their wedding.  SO..here is their beautiful album design!

Fran and Andy!

The wonderful wedding of Fran and Andy in full photographic detail is ready for viewing!   Here is one of my favorite images. Fran and Andy were married on Friday, July 25th at Holy Cross Church in Garrett Park MD.   The ceremony and reception really reflected the couples fun-loving and unique personalities.  More to come another day!  Fran and Andy..your website is up!
